Honouring the ANZAC Legacy

Bargara Remembers Inc. is the heart of our community’s dedication to honouring the legacy of ANZAC Day.

Originally known as the Bargara ANZAC Day Commemorations Committee, we proudly organised the first Dawn Service on April 25th, 1997, marking the beginning of a cherished tradition.

Each year since, our committee has brought together locals and visitors alike on Bargara’s picturesque foreshore to pay tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

What started as a small gathering has grown into one of regional Queensland’s most respected and well-attended Dawn Services.

This enduring success is a true reflection of our community spirit.

Supported by local businesses, individuals, and a dedicated team of volunteers, the event symbolises our collective commitment to remembering the brave men and women who have fought for the freedom and values we hold dear.

Together, we continue to ensure that the legacy of those who served lives on through the generations.

At Bargara Remembers, we believe that unity is the cornerstone of honouring those who have served our nation. Our collective commitment to remembrance strengthens our community bonds, reminding us of the sacrifices made for our freedom. Together, we create a lasting legacy of respect and gratitude for all who have fought to protect our values.

We believe in unity and remembrance

We stand
with pride

Our community takes immense pride in honouring the service and sacrifice of our veterans. We stand together, united in our appreciation for their courage and dedication. This pride fuels our passion for preserving the memories of those who have served, ensuring their legacy is celebrated for generations to come.

We honour
our history

Honouring our history is vital to understanding who we are as a community. By remembering the stories of those who have come before us, we acknowledge their contributions and sacrifices. This commitment to history inspires us to uphold the values they fought for and fosters a sense of belonging among all community members.

We celebrate
our community

We celebrate the vibrant spirit of our community, recognising the diverse individuals and families that make it thrive. By coming together for commemorative events, we not only honour our veterans but also strengthen the ties that bind us as neighbours and friends. Our shared celebrations reflect our gratitude and commitment to one another, reinforcing our unity.

We build
together

Building together is essential to the continued growth and resilience of our community. By collaborating on projects and initiatives, we create a welcoming environment that values contributions from all members and local organisations. Our commitment to working together ensures that we honour the past while actively shaping a brighter future for generations to come.
